Krotz Springs Refinery – Community Relations
Krotz Springs, Louisiana
The Krotz Springs Refinery takes pride in its support of the community. One of the primary philanthropic initiatives focuses on working with the local United Way and its agencies, all of which serve the area and play a vital role in the health of the local communities. Year after year, our employees continue to demonstrate their deep support for the organization through 100% participation in its annual campaign.
In 2010, the Krotz Springs Refinery became a Charter member of the Supriya Jindal Foundation for Louisiana’s Children, helping bring whiteboard technology into local schools. The foundation’s goal is to harness the power of technology in Louisiana classrooms, emphasizing the importance of science and math to develop the Louisiana workforce of tomorrow. The refinery also organizes and hosts annual events in support of the community, including its Senior Citizen Christmas Luncheon, Annual School Supply Drive, Food for Families Food Drive and Adopt a Family program. The refinery also sponsors school activities at Krotz Springs Elementary and Port Barre High School.
